If you see this post and you voted,
LEAVE A COMMENT! BE LOUD AND PROUD AND TELL ME YOU TOOK PART IN THE PROCESS!

We don't have to agree in terms of views, but it's the principle of the thing. PARTICIPATION! SHOWING UP IS 80% OF LIFE! VOTE!

If you don't, you can't complain later. ;)

ETA: Biking to the polls was interesting. It's gorgeous in the early morning, if a bit dark. I felt like Paul Revere, riding through the dark, for some reason. A bit afraid, but excited at the same time.

Met up with a former neighbor and we chatted away the hour until the polls opened. I was 8th in line when we went in, I think, and when I walked out the line was around the block. Wow.

Gotta get going! Still have to go to work. :D HAPPY THOUGHTS!

I went out and voted on Saturday. We have like two weeks of early voting here and I remember arguing with my father in years like 2000 when he didn't vote because the lines were just too long on Election Day when he drove by after work. Of course our state went to Bush by like 357 votes, so I try not to be part of the line. Though lots of polling places laughed saying we were waiting in much longer lines to vote early than we would on Election Day- there were only like 230 early voting locations and there will be more than 5 times that open today- it was well worth my hour and a half wait.

But now all I can do today is sit here and be nervous. :S
