I would have liked the costumes more if they had fit better.

You know, I thought they were okay, actually. Based on my experiences re-enacting- making clothing, researching patterns and hanging out with Civil War reenactors- I thought the costumes were spot on, especially on the men. Clothing was cut a bit differently and not everything fit like a glove. But if we're getting picky, I doubt the fabric of Dobrev's dresses, THE CUPS IN HER CORSET, and the makeup we period correct. And I was a little weirded out by the 3/4 sleeve dress and top hat combo on Dobrev- it looked awkward as hale, although I'm sure it's period correct (or at least as much as the CW can make it, intentionally or unintentionally). ;)

But this was me, expecting too much. I was insanely entertained though, so it didn't really bother me.

YAY for being so entertained that the little things cease to annoy. Yeah, the accents were a bit "Whu~!?" for me too, actually. It just felt like they were transposing the three characters into the past and giving Past!Elena a bit of Present!Damon's 'tude. BTW, wasn't Past!Damon adorable? ♥

That dancing scene was AWESOMESAUCE. He shook his undead bon-bon and it was MOST EXCELLENT.
