TD;LR: Everyone who matters is already a friend of mine on LJ (which I've paid for) and I just... eh. I like my layout here, and the new layout I picked out for icontent (which hasn't been updated in months, to be fair) but so far nothing is really keeping me on this side of the intarwebz. I have an invite code for this comm nobody seems to want, which pretty much says it all right there as far as I'm concerned.

So, christycorr - if you're on LJ, friend me over there too, willya, so I can shut this thing down for the time being until I figure out what I want to do with it?

I never use my account over here and actually just renewed my paid account at LJ because it makes more sense with the whole westerosorting modship and most of my friends, like yours, don't want an invite code fore here.

Although....I still like to have my account here to keep for more private things and it saves having to make a filter on LJ. :)

Well, that's just it- no one HAS been commenting here lately aside from Nadine and Sue and, bless them both, they're already my friends over on LJ, so the point is... whut, nao?

I thought I'd just do fangirl stuff over here, but... I don't really feel like it. I'm sort of limited in what I can do, and there isn't much point in having another journal- esp. one that has no ads, since, well, I don't have ads on LJ because paying $20 a year isn't that big a deal and it's got all the features I think this site WANTS to have.

I think if DW had come along before I had to think about renewing my LJ, things might have been different, but I'm not sure. :/

Nobody ever took me up on the invite codes, which tells me (a) everyone who wanted to be on DW is already here, and (b) I'm not very good at making a sale.

I still have hopes to turn my DW space into a foodie blog. We'll see.

You know, I started a food-and-movie LJ sometime ago, and then I never did anything with it. *is sad* I think I sent you my e-mail as a PM on LJ, but I'll send it again if needed!

On the camera, I'm thinking Nikon D60 so far. I actually like the D90 better, but the price tag is a bit scarier too.

I'm not sure you need a better camera. Your pictures are pretty stunning already.

(My current digital camera has awesome telescopic zoom, but only 6 megapixel resolution...)

My camera has a whopping 4mpx and a tiny viewscreen compared to newer models. I'm okay with it, but I've heard great things about the EOS line and I'd love to start taking pictures a bit more seriously. We'll see- when I have the funds I will think about it a bit more. :)

I use DW sekritly and just don't tell any of you :)

Seriously though, I use it for my training log and just keep the posts private because for the most part my reading list doesn't care that I ran 5km yesterday afternoon or that I'm doing lat pull downs at the gym tonight ;)

If anything DW makes my LJ less cluttered and more nerdy.

Ah. See, I don't have anything like that, but ont he other hand I've not been keeping track of my workouts anywhere, so maybe I should just do that- if I see my diet and exercise logged here everyday maybe it would help me get inspired to rededicate myself to it again.

I find DW handy for times like this, when I have been out of town for awhile or just taking a sanity break. Then I can quickly catch up on the two people on my f-list who post the most. :)

I thought I would be writing more entries, but it doesn't seem to happen.
