THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR:

PEOPLE! [livejournal.com profile] bratanimus (whose birthday was yesterday- hope it was special, hon!), [livejournal.com profile] benchilada (whose birthday is today- hope it's awesome), Sofia Alexia Smith (born yesterday to my cousin Stan and his wife Sandy), family, and friends.

THINGS! The usual- a great apartment, and stuff I can't talk about because I don't want to jinx them (three letters, starts with "j"), over a year behind the wheel of the Cullenmobile, and... other... stuff?

OTHER... THINGS! Health (a 4th diagnosis that seems to have been spot on, because my first PT session was FABULOUS).

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!
If you are traveling, may you arrive safely, and if you're staying home, enjoy the warmth and good humor of the season!
NOTE: There are no sparkles, because my sparkle source has mysteriously disappeared. If anyone has sparkles, share? Plz? I miss them.

Off to the farm for the weekend. See you Monday! :D

Having had tofurkey, I believe in the power of the vegetarian Thanksgiving. I DO.

And there are a ton of good ones. I found a pumpkin pie recipe topped with nuts, cranberries and amaretto cookies (not sure where those are sold anymore, actually), some green bean casserole that's not atrocious, stuffing without sausage, and other similar things. And again- tofurkey? Even as an omnivore I'd eat it. ♥

LOL. Eat to live, live to eat, which one are you? ;),/i.

You caught me. ;)

I was at Trader Joe's yesterday, and I seriously almost bought the Tofurkey. But I think we're going to bust out and try something different for the main course this year.

I'm thinking nut loaf and gravy, with the usual Thanksgiving accompaniments. I'm making pumpkin custard this year, and I feel up to all the slicing and kneading, maybe some apple pie too. (Last year, I got really lazy and made apple-oatmeal crumble instead, lol).

Honey, there is no such thing as lazy if you make something. And the pumpkin custard sounds like a whole lotta win! Send me the recipe if you decide to do it- I'd love to give it a shot!

Whatever you do, enjoy the day! ♥

(And next year, let's see what we can do about getting together in person and doing some cooking, eh?)
