Wait a mo', this just sank in- Are you a Buffy fan? Is this some fabulous new side of you I have not yet experienced???

Um, no, I've never watched the Buffy TV show. but the original movie was good. But I've seen a lot of Josh Wheldon's stuff, and I would think that replacing him is kind of like replacing Gene Roddenberry.

I know, it's a stretch. *lol*

I actually liked the movie- it was cute!- and then I saw the tv show and where Joss meant Buffy to go, and it was a real eye-opener1

I definitely think that relaunching the Buffster without her creator is a bad move- much like leaving Gene Roddenberry out of any new Trek project (when he was alive- now it's a different ball of wax).

I can see where that could mean the end of the series that you love.

Well, I sorta lost interest in the series when they left high school, though there were some good episodes, and when Buffy died and the show went from one network to another, that kinda... meh.

But really it's the fact that Whedon's voice is very much the voice of the show. He is the creator of the canon, the language, everything. Without him, it just wouldn't BE Buffy.
