Okay, saw the last two episodes and WHEW! Annie. My gawd. That was, hands down, the best revenge ever.

Also watched the pilot and Guy Flanagan is growing on me- he so by-Gawd tall that it is frightening, but he's got charm. Bloody YouTube and those 10 minute pieces- very hard to keep everything straight.

So yes. Season 2 needs to start nao, plz.

ETA: Dinner was a can of soup heated in the microwave and pint of Fleur de Sel Haagen Dazs. Not in that order. I feel like I'm back in grad school and it sucks. NEW OVEN NEEDS TO COME NOW. Xp

Vengeful!Annie is awesome, isn't she? Plus, it was the George/Nina stuff in the finale that really did it for me, I think.

And wow, your grad school experience must have been a lot fancier than mine, because I mostly just ate Ramen noodles. ;)

Sweet cheese'n'scrod, YUS! It was heartbreaking when Owen rolled right over her (BASTARD!). Ever notice how cute guys become exponentially less cute when they are revealed to be evol? The actor who played Owen was fantastic, because he went from bereaved and adorable to someone you'd want to hit with a rake if you ever saw him on the street.

I ate a lot of mac'n'cheese with tomatoes and/or tuna in college. Last night's meal of Progresso Hearty Penne and ice cream was just the more upscale version of that. ;)

Tomatoes? That's like an actual vegetable/fruit! OMG, you are fancy. ;)

One thing I love about Annie is how her clothes keep changing depending on her mood. I wonder if they'll keep that going for the second series (which honestly can't begin soon enough for me!)

Yes, but they were CANNED tomatoes. Last time we were at the farm, my sister was going on about the deliciousness of the canned 'maters. She's just so SO hilarious. Xp (Damn vegetarian skaters.)

I have, like, six cans of them in my cupboard in various iterations- diced, petite diced, sauce, puree, I'm nuts, you should see the amount of unsalted butter in my fridge, I'm like a crazy cat lady without cats. *lol*

I noticed that too. I was going through the BBC website and reading about the show, and the producers mentioned that Annie wears the same clothes but that they change slightly with her mood as you say- once in awhile she has a hole at the sleeve seams of her gray cardi, in VENGEANCE-mode she's wearing a blousey, more draped version of her sweater, etc. I like that. It's like she's telegraphing her state of mind that way (not that her acting isn't sufficient) and it keeps the outfit from getting stale. It's almost like the gray cardi is another character. *lol*

I'm a big fan of the canned tomato. Indian cooking requires copious amounts of the stuff, and I don't always have the fresh stuff handy. I've been getting more selective though...I only buy canned organic with no added salt, lol...like that makes all the difference! :)

It's almost like the gray cardi is another character. *lol*

I can see it now...gray cardi/fingerless gloves pr0n! Uh oh.

And fingerless gloves/glasses pr0n. But then that's too easy (so is Mitchell/George slash. PLZ, PPL!).

I'm actually working on a pair of fingerless gloves right now. Will post pics when they are done. XD

As in knitting them? Wow, color me impressed.

I started making myself a scarf a year ago. Somewhere along the way, I messed up and didn't want to go back and unravel everything I'd done. *sads*

This is only my second pair of gloves. I was originally intending to use the yarn for toe socks, and then I realized that would be a hell of a lot of work destroyed way WAY too easily (and if you knit them with heels it's not like you can swap feet if one toe gets holey).

And one has been started and ripped out so many times you'd be reduced to tears. They aren't perfect, but I'm forging ahead this time! FORGE! FORGE! Might finish them this week, in fact!

I can't decide whether to knit a mitten flap to go over the fingers or little removable fingertips, or just leave them fingerless.

Oh mitten flap, for sure. If I had gloves with removable fingers, they would be permanently removed (as in lost).

Yeah, that would be amusing in the end, but execution would be a bitch.

Flipping of the glove fingertips and buttoning them down would take so long that by the time I was done I'd want the darn things on again.

Maybe just the thumb...

The fashion industry cries at this.

Heh.
Because we have entered the 24/7 thesis writing zone, the cupboard is now full of instant Micro-zap cups of macaroni, soup, etc.
After this experience, I may not be able to poop ever again.

I cannot wait until Thursday- that's when they said the new oven should be here by. Microwaves are the devil's whatchamahoozit.

By the way, next time I make lasagna I'm either inviting you over and dropping off the entire pan. I hate the idea of your brain working off Micro-Zaps. Xp

IKR? My roommate sophomore and junior year kept a hotplate in the room and we had rice and beans, mac'n'cheese and soup when we were studying late and missed dinner. Horrible. The amount of sodium in those foods is sky high. Surprised I'm not dead, frankly.

We're not even allowed to have hotplates or anything like them. All the food we bring into the room has to be packaged for safety reasons, which SUCKS, because packaged food pretty much sucks all on its own.

Do you guys not have a dorm/communal house kitchen where you can cook if you want?

And are you allowed a cube fridge?

We do have a kitchen, but this is a guys' dorm, and uhm... Lets just say it's not good for one's sanity to spend too much time there. The GERMS!!! I do use the microwave every now and then, though.

And yes, my dad had a nice phase and bought me one! haha. Speaking of which, I need to buy groceries...

Awww, man! It's so not fair to you, but even if you have to get some sponges and cleanser and wipe everything down before you use it, you totally should. It's much more fun to cook and eat healthy food once in awhile than to subsist on microwaved meals all the time. Xp

Groceries are good- milk and cereal FTW! I might do the cereal diet myself- there are a few brands that they say you can eat twice a day for two weeks and lose 6 lbs. I figure if I microwave a meal for dinner and have cereal twice a day I'll be golden- BIKINI SEASON COMETH! True, I'll be sick of cereal and ready to throw something, but still golden. XD

I'm so glad that you have some love for Guy. And yes, he is tall. The finale rocked big time and I especially loved the cliffhanger with Nina. However, I had been hoping that Herrick would fight George, not just stand there and allow him to maul him.

I liked that Pilot!Mitchell was taller than George- it sort of threw off the cliche of the werewolf being a big, bulky SOB. Also, Pilot!Mitchell struck me as more believable at times- I could see him as a youth dying on a battlefield and being frozen forever as a young soldier, being a bit dissolute and callow and having lived through the 60's (loved the hat and glasses- too funny, so THIN WHITE DUKE!!!). I could see him in the role, but I didn't find him believable as a seducer of women and his brief scenes with Lauren, and the woman in the bar, kinda made me cringe.

Turner's scenes with Clare Higgins (Josie) were just amazing, though- the way he reminisced with her was lovely, and you could really see how Mitchell was still very much in touch with his/some form of humanity (something that reverberates when Lauren voices her fears that she's losing hers). If I hadn't been watching the episodes slumped in front of my computer I would have enjoyed the episodes more, I think. I hope they release this show on DVD soon (with the pilot, of course)- I would totally pay for the privilege.

Random- I was checking out the actor who played Owen on imdb.com, and did you know he was the voice of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter video games? It DOES all come back to Rowling! O.o

Fair enough. It worked for me but then, I found the man insanely attractive in a very unusual way. *lol*

*lol* I just realized the top of your icon has text in it, though I had to lean in a bit to read it. Now it's funnier. XD

Yeah, he seemed a little too eldritch and not masculine enough for my tastes, but then I prefer guys whose jeans I can get into... meaning when they aren't wearing them. Still, he is attractive in a way.

ZOMG HARRY POTTER RULES THE WORLD!

IKR? I SAY WE LEAVE OFF WITH KEVIN BACON AND DO 6 DEGREES OF HARRY POTTER.

For example- Another example of the BH/HP connection is our man Russell Tovey. Tovey is in "Being Human", right? Tovey was also in "History Boys" with Richard Griffiths who was in.... HARRY POTTER!

I'm closing my eyes and not reading the comments. I still need to see the last three episodes. Are you watching them on Megavideo?

Oh, hurry up and watch them already! XP

Yup, still on Megavideo- I figured out that if they cut you off (which they did, MOMENTS before the BIG DRAMA at the end of episode 5!) you wait a few minutes and just refresh the page and push play again and you're good to go.

BTW- just saw on random website that show is coming to BBCA later in the year! YAY! We can watch it on tv!

IKR? The stuttering picture annoys me greatly- you get totally thrown out of the story. Plus, sitting at a desk is so fml. I'm thinking of packing up my computer so I don't even get tempted while I'm home, because it just feels like an extension of WORK. X[

BTW- found a comm for "Being Human" icons: http://community.livejournal.com/beinghumanicons/
